Welsh Rowing Senior Development Programme wants to work with clubs, universites, coaches and athletes to help them all perform at there best.
At top level we have seen many Welsh Rowing athletes go on to achieve success at Junior, U23 and Senior World and European Championships as well as the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The Senior Development Programme is there to help Welsh eligible athletes represent Wales at the Home International Regatta (in both Classic River and Beach Sprints formats) and use the experience as a stepping stone to trial and gain selection for the Senior Great Britain team. Welsh Rowing has been able to offer help and support which has been in the form of funding, equipment, transport, coaching support.and is something we aim to taily
We want to connect with all senior athletes in the Welsh rowing clubs and universities as well as the athelets based in clubs across the UK and even overseas.
In Wales we will achieve this by making regular visits to meet up with the club coaches and athletes and get involved with sessions where possible. For those athletes training in other UK locations we will try to get out and visit as many as possible with the aim to work with the club/university coaches and share data when we cannot make regular visits.
